our business
ricon innovation in mobility
Ricon UK Limited moved into a modern 22,000 sq. ft facility in 1998 having
occupied our old premises for the previous ten years. The relocation
to larger premises gave us the scope to develop the business into
the present day supply and support company to the mobility conversion
market and the end users. This is not the end chapter in the growth
of Ricon UK Limited, our goal is to be the best supplier to the
industry and offer the best possible after sales service to our
end users.
In December 2002 the Ricon Group completed the sale of the Ricon
Corporation to Cravey, Green & Whalen, a private equity company
based in Atlanta Georgia. It is the intention of the new owners
to continue to invest in the growth of the company worldwide by
prudent management of resources and investment into new products
to meet market demands. They have a long history of successful
investment into manufacturing companies and have other operations
in their portfolio that offers direct synergies to our own products.
We are proud to have been considered a worthwhile acquisition
by such a prestigious company.
The UK operation is probably leading the rest of Europe in providing
equipment and information for the less able driver and passenger.
To meet the increasing demand for services and products we are
constantly upgrading systems, dealer networks and service points
for our product range.
We are justifiably proud of our reputation for high quality products
that simplify life for physically challenged and mobility impaired
individuals.
Ricon users all have one thing in common, their leisure and working
lives have gained a greater independence and freedom. They have
all discovered the quality, safety and reliability that have made
Ricon the world's number one choice.
